How much do you know already about the Pine River Superfund site in St. Louis, Michigan? Here is a collection of links, meant to function as a sort of beginning reader on the Velsicol Corp. Superfund site.
If you don't know a lot about it, you might start by reading the information on the site provided by the Great Lakes Wiki, a project of MSU's Knight Center for Environmental Journalism.
Right now, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality is in the process of proposing remediation plans for the area, and soon their role in the cleanup will be much reduced.
Cleanup at this site has not been completed--in fact there is much left to be done.
The Pine River Citizens Superfund Task Force is a group involves local citizens in education and advocacy about the site. You can visit the group's website here, though it has not, apparently, been updated recently:
